Diamond Hill Horse Farm

the  complete home horse property

The Property

21 acre family horse farm

Family horse farm in a park like setting 10 minutes from Warrenton VA. Approximately 8 acres is in open fields that are fenced and cross fenced with the residual 13 acres as mature woods. Horse trails in the woods. A historic Warrenton to Culpepper  sunken road crosses the property as does a historic mill race. Great Run borders the far western property boundary drawing water fowl and all forms of wildlife. The property is planned for addition as a Fauquier County conservation easement allowing a new principal dwelling and conversion of the existing dwelling to a guest home.

Working horse farm with trails

Horses graze in four fenced fields, train in a outdoor riding arena, and take trips down to Great Run on trails in the woods. Horse and owner heaven on earth.  Neighbors allowed for use of trails in the woods that go on for miles down to the Rappahannock River and back.

Originally owned by John Fox in the 1850's

In the 1850's the property belonged to John Fox. He passed in 1859 with no descendants. He left his land to the enslaved and the land was divided by the courts after the Civil War. Some parcels were unclaimed and in 1995 boundary adjustments of adjacent parcels were used to create Diamond Hill Horse Farm.

Great Run, a mill race, a sunken road, and Civil War relics

The property includes access to Great Run and the remnants of a mill race that diverted water from Great Run to a mill believed to have been owned by John Fox. The old Fauquier to Culpepper Road crosses the property in the woods. Metal detecting has uncovered relics along the path of the old sunken road and from Civil War action as the property changed hands during the war.
